Rent for student halls depends on the length of your lease and the hall you are living in. Check the rent prices on the rooms options page.

How to pay your rent

You will receive your accommodation offer by email. You accept the offer by accepting the lease, and paying the rent in full or the rent pre-payment within 14 days. To do this, use your OASIS account

You don’t pay a deposit; your rent payment secures the room.

OPTION A: Pay the full rent now.

  1. Goto
  2. Select the button that says 'Accommodation Rent & Damages - Students'.
  3. In the 'MyFinance' tab, select 'Make a Pre-payment of Tuition/Accommodation Fees'.
  4. From the drop-down, select 'Accommodation Fees' and enter the amount. This is either the full amount for the whole year, or the first monthly instalment which you pay up front.
  5. Proceed to checkout and complete the process.
  6. Your room is ONLY secured once you have paid (either the full amount or your first rent instalment) and completed the other steps in your room offer email called 'Abertay University: Accommodation – Room Offer'.
  7. You should be able to see your payment pending on OASIS within 24 hours. If your payment isn't showing as pending in OASIS after 24 hours, please email who can check it for you.

If a parent or someone else is paying your rent, then select 'Accommodation Rent & Damages – Third Party'.  Enter in the amount of rent to be paid - either the full amount or the first rent instalment - and check out in the usual way.

OPTION B: Set up a monthly pre-payment plan

If you have opted to pay by instalments, you will be sent instructions on how to set up the payment plan about a week before your lease starts.

All our payment plans use recurring card payments and you must set this up with either a Mastercard or a Visa card.

You will receive an email from finance confirming that the recurring payments are set up. This will also give you the dates and amounts of your payments.
