While you can expect the same warm and friendly Abertay welcome in September 2020, things will be a bit different.
The new term will be a form of blended learning with large group learning such as lectures delivered online and small group activity such as tutorials delivered face-to-face on campus in line with social distancing guidance in place at the time.
We're working hard behind the scenes on a range of changes to our buildings and operating systems for September and will contact you by email with regular updates in addition to posting information on these pages.
End August: You will be in a Microsoft Teams group so you can get to know your Programme Leader and people on your course and in your year.
7-11 September: Take a preparatory course for new students to get off to the best possible start. Abertay College Transition programme if you’re joining us from college. University Preparation programme if you're joining us from school or if you’ve been out of education for a year or longer. Both are free and will be delivered online.
14 -20 September: Freshers’ Week. You will have an interactive guide for your degree programme that will summarise all activities. Included will be degree programme welcome sessions with academics; induction sessions, such as getting started with IT and sessions with our Student Services staff about all the support available to you at Abertay; social events.
21 September: Start of teaching.
