I am very pleased that you are joining our University as we begin the new academic year. Starting university is a big step, as I remember very clearly from my own time as a student, though it was very many years ago.
I know you will find Abertay to be a friendly and supportive university, and my colleagues and I are here to help you make the transition to your life as a student. And we will be with you every step of the way from here to graduation.
It all starts with Freshers’ Week, which is your opportunity to learn about how the University works, to pick up tips about studying and making the most of your time at Abertay, to learn about student societies, clubs and sports teams, and much more.
Freshers' Week has to be online this year and I will miss having the chance to talk with you in person, but I hope that changes as the term progresses.
