Each year, students from more than 60 countries choose to study with Abertay University.

Our official representatives, also known as accredited agents, are based around the globe and provide local support to help you connect with Abertay University. They can guide you through every step of your application and help make your transition to studying in the UK as smooth as possible.

Applicants from Bangladesh, Ghana, Nepal, Pakistan and some Indian states

If you are applying to Abertay University from Bangladesh, Ghana, Nepal, Pakistan or the Indian states of Gujarat, Haryana, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Telangana or Uttar Pradesh, you must apply through, and remain supported by, one of our accredited agents.

Applications from these countries and states can only be processed when they are linked to an approved Abertay agent. Only agents formally working with Abertay are authorised to support them. Email international@abertay.ac.ukto be connected to an accredited agent in your country or state.

  • Liaise with the University on your behalf if necessary.

Please note: our agents cannot make offers of study on behalf of Abertay University. All admissions decisions are made directly by the University.

Before engaging an agent, we recommend you clarify any service charges and understand what services are included.

You should never pay tuition fees or deposits to an agent. All payments must be made directly to the University.

Are there any charges for using an agent?

Our accredited representatives are contracted partners who are remunerated by us for the services they provide.

We regularly review agent performance and take student feedback into account to ensure all partners maintain our high standards of integrity and professionalism.

While agents are not authorised to collect tuition fees on behalf of Abertay, they may charge for their own advisory services. If an agent charges a fee, they must clearly explain:

  • What the fee covers.

  • When it is due.

  • Whether it is refundable.

If you are unsure about any charges, please ask your agent for clarification before proceeding.

Payments to Abertay University

Depending on your offer conditions, you may be required to pay:

  • A non-refundable prepayment of 50% of your tuition fee before receiving your unconditional offer, and/or

  • Full payment of your tuition fees before course registration.

Abertay University provides the following free of charge, including applications submitted via agents:

  • Application processing.

  • Scholarship application processing, for Abertay Overseas Scholarships.

  • International student orientation and arrival support.
