BSc (Hons) Psychology, 2017

Since graduating can you describe your journey to your current career?

I started my post soon after graduating from Abertay. The vast majority of work I achieved at University or the work I did parallel to my studies. This included volunteering, being involved in opportunities offered by both the University as a whole as well as those offered by specific lecturers, being involved in research and working as a research assistant.

What does your current job involve?

My job involves assisting Clinical Psychologists in delivering care in a variety of ways, and supporting the service as a whole.

Take every opportunity you can and enjoy the years at Abertay as they go too quick!

What is your lasting impression of Abertay and Dundee?

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Abertay and I hope to nurture my links with the University in the future and keep in contact with some of my lecturers. I’ve made a number of great friends while at Abertay, which I will always regard as some of the best years of my life. I truly believe Abertay has prepared me well for my future endeavours.

What advice would you give to our students?

Take every opportunity you can and enjoy the years at Abertay as they go too quick! I have also come to realise that volunteering is a great way not only to give something back to society, but to open doors to future career prospects.
