Each short course is worth 5-credits, is fully funded and delivered 100% online.

Who are the courses for?

Managing change is a 'constant' within businesses of all sizes and within all business sectors. The modules on offer will be useful for managing change within said organisations. They will be of particular value to SME owners and managers, and managers employed in charities and third sector organisations.

These courses are also aimed at individuals who are looking at ways to prepare themselves for the future of work transformed due to the pandemic.

How is each course delivered?

These courses are delivered 100% online and each module runs for three weeks. The first two weeks are dedicated to teaching and engaging with the learning materials, brought to you by knowledgeable and experienced lecturers. The third week is timetabled for the assessment which is a multiple-choice test designed to gauge the ability to apply the lessons learnt in the module to various scenarios. Each module will account for a total of 50 hours of time flexibility delivered to suit your schedule and home commitments.

Understanding Transformational Change in a Digital World

Content:

5 SCQF | Level 9

This short course introduces you to the context of contemporary business by examining the technologically driven business environment. You will examine the role of technology in transforming business from the first to fourth industrial revolutions. Additionally, you will gain a critical perspective on the future of work in an increasingly digital world, and how businesses need to transform to compete and survive.

Understanding Transformational Change in a Digital World will discuss the following topics:

  • The Future of Work – a Critical Perspective

  • Adapting for Survival – Digital Transformation and COVID

Opportunities and Threats in Managing Change

Students will engage in analysing the change context, the drivers for change and the human resource issues in transformative change.

  • Organisation Culture – Habits and Unlearning

Transformational Leadership in a Changing World

Content:

This course will investigate the strategies and competencies required to lead and manage transformational change.
