It’s clear that Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw is becoming increasingly influential in global affairs. The Indian billionaire has lived an incredible life and is currently chairperson and managing director of Biocon, a biotechnology company based in Bangalore.
Her pioneering efforts in the industry helped her gain recognition right around the world.
Kiran has also donated tens of millions of pounds to good causes and has joined The Giving Pledge, promising to spend at least half of her fortune on good causes.
She was given an honorary doctorate by Abertay in 2007.
