Advice for international offer holders

Here is some advice about your offer, how to respond, and prepare for life here in Dundee. You can also download our International Pre-Arrival Guide for more details.

How we make your offer

We don't just consider your grades, it’s also about your personal statement and circumstances so find out more here

We will make all our offers via UCAS, so keep checking your UCAS track account.

Your offer explained

Congratulations! You have an offer to study a degree course at Abertay University.

A conditional offer

The usual kind of offer. We have offered you a place on the course, provided you meet the requirements we set. These are called conditions. Usually this means getting specific grades in your exams. The conditions will be clearly set out in your UCAS track account.

An unconditional offer

This means we’ve decided you’re already qualified for the course you have chosen. You don’t need any other specific grades or qualifications.

How to accept your offer

Log in and accept your offer in UCAS track. But we may need you to supply your results to us, and we will email a request if that is the case.

If you live outside of the EU, you will usually need a Student Visa.

All the information you need about applying for a visa to study at Abertay can be found here.

Fees and funding

You’ll find everything you need to know about tuition fees on these pages. Don’t forget to look at our scholarships for extra funding opportunities.

Finally, it’s good to know that Dundee is an inexpensive city to live in, so your money will go further.

Student accommodation

About our four halls of residence, how and when to apply for accommodation, virtual tours and other useful topics like what the power sockets look like, and what to pack.

Visit us virtually

We know it's not always possible to visit us before you come here. So you can view the videos we have on the Virtual Applicant Day pages (INSERT LINK).

This is where you can hear more about your specific course and take a virtual campus tour.  There is also information about areas like accommodation, as well as video talks from lecturers, and current students.
