One of the perks of having a degree under your belt is that you'll gain 'Abertay Graduate' status. You'll join our global community of more than 34,000 alumni, have links to your professional peers all over the world, and be able to access continued support from our Careers Service and campus-based enterprise hub 'Bell street Ventures'.
For the most part, we’ll stay in touch digitally using your personal email address (the one you registered to graduate with). If you didn't register for graduation - don't worry. Keep an eye on your student email account over the next few weeks and we'll give you an opportunity to opt-in to receive communications to an email address of your choice.
Over time, keep us up to date with where your adventure is taking you. If your email or postal address change, you can let us know by visiting www.abertay.ac.uk/life/alumni-and-supporters or by dropping us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
As a graduate, you have a one-stop-shop email address to direct all your queries to: email@example.com
Follow the Abertay Alumni Twitter account to hear about some of the great things your fellow graduates are getting up to on a day to day basis. Don’t be shy, tag us so we can share your stories too.
If you’d like to tap into the wider Network at any time, you can do this by following Abertay University’s LinkedIn page and searching through the ‘Alumni’ tab. To be searchable in this way yourself, you’ll need to list Abertay University as a ‘school’ within your profile. It’s the perfect platform to build professional networks and support your career.
We’re still here if you need help with the first steps of your career. You have access to all services offered by our Careers Service for up to three years after graduating. This can be anything from expert advice on tweaking your CV to identifying career opportunities using our job board on Abertay Connect. Visit the Careers pages for more information.
Bell Street Ventures is the new space for student and graduate enterprise at Abertay. Whether you’re starting a games company with your friends, changing the world through a social enterprise or setting yourself up as being self-employed so that you can bid for contracts from small businesses, BSV can help.
BSV have hot desks, workshops, courses, advice and coffee (lots of coffee!) - all to help you to take your ideas and turn them into reality. Or, if they don’t make sense financially yet, we can help you regroup and figure out the best way forward. For more information, contact our Student Enterprise Officer, Simon Fraser on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Remember, you may also be eligible for a 25% discount on tuition fees for postgraduate degrees at Abertay. Visit our postgraduate study pages for more information.
