Transfer to Abertay

We are excited to welcome applications from students who want to transfer from Community College or University into one of our degrees.

Here's how you do it:

Decide which degree you'd like to study using our course pages.
Fill out the free Transfer Information Form on the right, and we will contact you to provide your transcript(s) and any other supporting documents.
Once your academic records are submitted, Abertay’s Admissions Team will undertake a transfer credit evaluation to compare your college or university credit with your chosen degree. We will provide this to you so you can apply for the right year of entry.
You then use this information to make an informed decision about applying to Abertay.

After that, to apply, please visit the UK universities application portal www.ucas.com.

Transfer from Northern Virginia Community College

Abertay and NOVA have a transfer agreement in place spanning a range of degrees from Ethical Hacking to Business degrees. For more information on this, please visit our dedicated NOVA page.

Transfer from Humber College, Toronto

Humber College Students can now transfer to one of the TOP universities for Games Studies in Europe, according to the Princeton Review. Applications are now open.

Students must complete the three-year Advanced Diploma in Game Programming (at 65% or higher) from Humber College to be considered for admission.
Humber students accepted into the Masters program at Abertay University will follow a two-year program which includes a one-year pre-Masters preparation course in conjunction with 4th year students in Computer Game Applications Development, followed by an additional year of project-based work to achieve both the award of BSc (Hons) in Computer Games Application Development and Masters of Professional Practice in Games Development.
Scholarships are available for Humber students, please enquire for details.

Transfer from Vanier College, Montreal

Students must complete all three years of the Computer Science Technology Diploma (at 70% or higher overall, with an R score of 24) from Vanier College to be considered for admission.
Vanier College students accepted into the BSc in Ethical Hacking at Abertay University will enter the 2nd year of the four-year honors degree.
Scholarships are available for Vanier students, please enquire for details.

Scotland is the Best (Small) Country to live in

When you’re not studying, you will have PLENTY to see and do.

Visit Edinburgh and Glasgow, which are only 1.5 - 2 hours away by car or train.
Loch Ness – maybe you will see the legendary creature!
There are A LOT of castles like Edinburgh, Stirling, Balmoral, Glamis and Dunnottar. Dundee has 6 to get you started.
Scotland is full of historical sites. For example, Orkney has 5000 year old houses and tombs as well as medieval churches and renaissance palaces.
You can also discover stone-carving Picts, warring clans, invading Vikings, enlightened philosophers, amazing poets and one Bonnie Prince.
Not forgetting that the 'Harry Potter' movies and 'Outlander' the TV series were filmed on locations all over Scotland.
