Clubs and Societies

University is a place where you will meet some of your best friends for life. It is also a place to take up new interests that you perhaps didn’t have access to back home.

Our sports clubs have activities throughout the year, including BUCS (British Universities and College Sports) competitions against other universities.

If you’re not interested in joining a club but want to exercise, we have a gym on campus that offers classes such as spin, step and Pilates. A great way to break up your day in between classes!

See our Sports Clubs page to find out more.

We have over 30 societies at Abertay. From football to dance, space agency to sci-fi fantasy, Abertay's societies have your interests covered! They're a great way to meet people who share the same passions as you. Our societies meet regularly and you can drop in as often or as little as you like. Membership is usually cheap (some only cost £1 to join!)

If you can't find a society that matches your interests, why not start your own?  Abertay’s Student Association will help you create it.

Our sports clubs and societies will have stands during Freshers’ week where you will be able to sign up.
