Undergraduate Funding

Tuition Fees

If you're an international or EU student without pre-settled or settled status, then you pay international tuition fees.

International and EU Undergraduate tuition fee rates can be found here.

Fee Guarantee: We understand you need to know what tuition fees you’ll pay in advance. This is why we give a tuition fee guarantee to all new International/EU students.

The Tuition fee rate published for your year of entry will be the same each year, and won’t increase during your four year degree course.

Paying Tuition Fees

If you are self-funding your studies, you are expected to have sufficient funds available to cover your tuition fees before the start of each academic year.

You arrange payment of your tuition fees as part of your online registration. All overseas students need to pay the whole annual fee in advance. You pay your fees during the online registration process

Find out more about how to pay on the tuition fee page.

Living Costs

The good news is that weekly household costs in Scotland are much lower than London, and monthly household costs are roughly 20% cheaper than the UK national average.

Dundee is one of the most affordable UK cities to live in. So your money will definitely go further here.

EU & International Student Scholarships

The Abertay International Scholarship is an award of up to £12,000 for new international undergraduate students. This scholarship is awarded as a £3,000 deduction from the annual tuition fees. Find out more about the International Scholarship.

We offer more International/EU Scholarships and Bursaries to help support your studies. Find out what's available.

Potential Funding Options

You may be eligible for additional funding from trusts and bursaries.

Funding options for Scandinavian students include Fundraising. How, where you will find a complete guide to articles on scholarships and funding opportunities for students from Scandinavia, providing in-depth information on eligibility, application procedures, and success tips.

You might decide to get a part-time job to help support yourself. Contact our free careers service by emailing careers@abertay.ac.uk to discuss this. We recommend working a maximum of 15 hours a week during term time to avoid any impact on your studies.

We have a useful page of sites about budgeting and discounts for all students.
