What did you enjoy most about your internship?

Within my internship at Kilmac, I enjoyed having the opportunity and industry exposure to apply the theory I have learnt throughout my academic career and implement it in the work environment. At Kilmac, I was able to work on a range of large-scale and small-scale projects which enabled me to learn a variety of different industry-specific skills.

The scheme is a stepping-stone in advancing your graduate opportunities and setting you up for future employment.

What have you gained from taking part in the scheme?

For me, doing an internship enabled me to learn about working in the construction industry as well as being in a fast-paced, everchanging environment. The experience has provided me with an opportunity to understand in greater depth what I would like to do in my career as a Civil Engineer. I would highly recommend students to undertake an internship through the Santander Employability Scheme. It provided a stepping-stone in advancing your graduate opportunities and setting you up for future employment.
