Student Awards Agency for Scotland

Overview

From 2019-20, new Scottish and EU students studying for a Masters by Research, or an MPhil will be eligible to apply for support from the Student Awards Agency for Scotland. This funding is available for free-standing research Masters programmes lasting a maximum of two years full-time or four years part-time.  Research Masters leading to PhD programmes are not eligible for support.

Eligibility

To be considered for this funding, you must:

• Undertake to complete a Masters by Research in one year full-time (or 2 years part-time), or an MPhil in less than 2 years full-time (or 4 years part-time).  If you take longer, your funding may be revoked.
• You must not be progressing to PhD.
