How do I buy guest tickets?

You can buy guest tickets for your graduation ceremony when registration opens.

How much are guest tickets?

Guest tickets are usually £13 each. But that can change, so check your registration emails which will have the update-to-date details and correct ticket price.

How many guest tickets can I buy?

You can buy two guest tickets, usually costing £13 each (subject to change).  Everyone is allocated two tickets.

Tickets for children under five are free of charge, but must be included in your guest ticket allocation.

Children aged two and under, who can sit on an adult’s knee, don't need a ticket.

Can I buy more guest tickets?

Once registration closes and we know how many people are attending, we may be able to offer extra guest tickets. We will email you if this is the case.

If available, when will extra guest tickets go on sale?

If we can offer extra guest tickets, they go on sale after graduation registration closes.

All students attending will be emailed with details about how to buy them.

Do guest tickets get posted out?

No, guest tickets are collected from the registration desks located at the Caird Hall.

Do I need a guest ticket for my child?

Tickets for children under five are free, but must be included as part of the number of guest tickets you are allocated.

Children aged two and under, and who can sit on an adult’s knee, do not need a ticket.

Where do I collect my guest tickets?

Registration desks are at The Caird Hall. This is where you collect your invitation card, seat number and any guest tickets you've bought.

You can normally collect tickets the afternoon before Graduation day (2pm-5pm), and from 8.30am on the day of the ceremony itself.

I need an official invitation for my guests

There are no official invitations for guests. This is because we don't invite guests to graduate, we invite you.

You may be able to use your own official 'awaiting graduation' letter for official purposes, but we cannot provide anything else.  You'll find this in Oasis, once you have registered.

My guests have special requirements/need accessible seating

If you or your guests have specific access or disability requirements, special seating arrangements or require support on the day, please tell us about this during the graduation registration process, by email to graduationevents@abertay.ac.uk.

We always do our very best to accommodate this. But we need time to plan, so may not be able to organise support if you haven't told us about it before the actual day of the ceremony.
