Offer Holder Events

Your offer is just the start. Come and see the campus, meet your future lecturers and find out what's next.

My time at Abertay took me across the world, into a career I love, and helped me realise just how much I’m capable of.

Explore Abertay in person or virtually

Visiting the Abertay campus is the single best thing you can do before making your decision. You'll get a real sense of the place, meet the people who'll be teaching you, and leave with the answers to questions you didn't even know you had.

Offer Holder Days

Our Offer Holder Days are designed specifically for applicants who already have an offer from Abertay. It's not an Open Day. It goes deeper. You'll sit in on sessions related to your course(s), meet the academic staff who'll be teaching you, tour campus with a current student and get answers to the practical questions that matter at this stage: funding, accommodation, support, what September actually looks like.

What offer holders said about their visit

I was left with an exceptionally strong sense of why small really is perfectly formed. Support, community and a shared sense of success.
I'm an older student so I was very nervous to take such a big step. Being with the staff and them discussing how the programme is run really relaxed me and I thought to myself, yes I can do this.
It has solidified my choice to go to Abertay for my Computer Arts course this September.

Commonly asked questions

Show all sections

Do I have to attend an Offer Holder Day to accept my offer?

No. Attending an Offer Holder Day is completely optional. But we strongly recommend it. Students who visit before accepting are much more confident in their decision and more likely to feel settled when they arrive in September.

Can I bring my parents or family?

Yes. Parents, carers, siblings and supporters are all welcome. There are dedicated sessions aimed at parents and carers covering funding, accommodation and support services.

I've already been to an Open Day. Is the Offer Holder Day different?

Yes. The Open Day gives you a broad introduction. The Offer Holder Day goes deeper into your specific course, with sessions and meetings with your academic team. It's also a chance to focus on the practical questions that matter now that you have an offer: funding, accommodation, what to do next.

I have access requirements. Can you accommodate me?

Absolutely. Let us know what you need when you book your place and we'll make arrangements. If you have specific questions in advance, contact sro@abertay.ac.uk or call +44 (0)1382 308080.

What if I can't attend any of the events?

No problem. You can take a virtual tour, join an online Q&A, or book a campus visit on a date that works for you. You can also chat to a current student online at any time.

Is there parking available?

Campus is in the city centre where on-street parking is limited. There are several public car parks nearby. If you're driving, check our parking page for locations and charges.

Can I visit the accommodation as part of the day?

The Offer Holder Day includes accommodation visits. Outside of these days, if you'd like to see our student accommodation at Parker House, you can arrange a separate visit directly with them at: https://www.iqstudentaccommodation.com/dundee/parker-house

Will there be sessions for my specific course?

Yes. The Offer Holder Day includes course-specific sessions.
