Black History Month

Black History Month @ Abertay

Every October Abertay University is proud to support Black History Month - a time to celebrate Black contributions to our society and foster a greater understanding of Black history. Throughout the month we will be shining a spotlight on the success and achievements  of our Black staff and student communities and we’ll be celebrating some of the work being done to promote equality at Abertay.

This page will be updated with new content continually throughout the month so please keep checking back.

Saluting Our Sisters: Panel Event

Marketing lecturer Dr Kathy-Ann Fletcher is hosting a special panel event on the evening of Wednesday 25 October as we mark Black History Month. Our speakers will reflect on personal challenges they’ve faced as members of Dundee’s black community, discuss approaches being taken at city, national and international level to tackle racism and affect change and talk about their own areas of expertise and campaigning.
