Visiting us on an Open Day is a great way to help decide whether Abertay is the right university for you.
See below for your Open Day programme, which is available as an interactive flipbook or as a web page. You'll also be given a paper copy of the programme on the day and QR code to take you back to this page.

Getting to Abertay
By car: We're situated in Dundee city centre. You can check driving directions on Google Maps. Our postcode is DD1 1HG.
By bus and by train: Our campus is in Dundee city centre. It's only a 10-minute walk from the bus station or a 10-minute walk from the train station.
Parking
We don't have any private parking spaces, but there are a number of public car parks nearby. The nearest is West Bell Street (DD1 1EX), which will cost £3 for the whole day.
Registration
First thing to do is check-in. Make your way to the Registration Marquee (down the tunnel beside the Kydd building) where we'll be waiting to welcome you.
When to arrive
The day starts at 10am but please check the schedule for the times of the talks and activities you're interested in. Please also allow 15/20 mins for us to check you in and direct you to where you need to be first.
What's involved in an Open Day?
An Open Day is your chance to get more information or answers to any questions you might have about the course(s) you want to study.
If you want to apply for more than one course and aren't sure which would be best for you, speaking to lecturers and students will help you decide.
It's also your chance to have a good look around the campus (and Dundee) and find out whether Abertay's vibe is right for you.
Registration

Go here first to check in and to pick up a copy of the Open Day schedule (if you need it).

Drop in to talk and to have your questions answered by our friendly staff.

Grab a complimentary cup of tea/coffee or water and fuel up for the day.
Our staff here will be happy to direct you to see the facilities at the Abertay Gym where you can also find out more about our Sports Clubs.
Campus Tours
🕑 10am to 4pm
📍 Leaving from C109 (Ground Floor, Old College Building)
Take a tour and have a good look around our compact city centre campus.

Tours leave every 30 minutes from C109 in the Old College.

No need to book - just turn up.

First tour leaves at 10am, last tour leaves at 3.30pm.

Tours last approximately 20-30 minutes.

Please note: Campus Tour groups will be limited to 12-15 people.
Self-Guided Library Tours

Guided Tour of Dundee City Centre
🕑 11am, 12pm and 1pm
📍 Leaving from Room 1001 (Old College Building)
Hear the stories of Dundee's history in an entertaining and humorous hour-long tour of the city centre.

Learn more about things to do in Dundee and living in the city.

Take in the historic Howff cemetery, Albert Square, McManus Art Gallery and Museum, City Square and High Street.

Flat route with no stairs involved.
Please note: places are very limited, so please book your place in Room 1001 (Old College Building) as soon as you can to avoid disappointment.

MySuccess Modules/Microcredentials
Pop by to learn more about Abertay's MySuccess modules, a suite of modules covering topics such as academic writing and wellbeing. This is designed to help prepare you academically and socially for university life. You can also find out more about microcredentials, which help personalise your degree from Year 2.
Study Abroad
Studying abroad can be an incredible academic, professional and personal experience. Current Abertay students can study or undertake a placement abroad. Speak to staff on the day about range of exciting options.
