Applying from College

Ready to push yourself even further after college?

You may already be planning how you’ll celebrate when your final piece of college work is handed in and your exams are over.

If you've changed your mind about university, thought you’d left it too late, or have only recently considered further study after completing your college course, the good news is there’s still time to apply to Abertay.

It's a little known fact that you can still apply to university after the UCAS January deadline, if the university still has undergraduate degree places left open.

Get your application in for your preferred degree as soon as possible to guarantee that you’ll be considered for September entry.

Coming from College

More than a third of our students come to us via college – that’s people like you who want to build on their college qualification, and get an extra edge for when they enter the graduate job market.

Plenty of college leavers join Year 2 or 3 of our degrees, depending on which college they’re applying from, so this option may suit you, too. Head to our Coming from College page to get a flavour of where your HNC or HND can take you.

How Do I Apply?

Whether you’re still waiting on your exam results or you already have the grades you need, you’ll need to apply for your preferred Abertay degree through the UCAS website

When Do I Need to Apply By?

Guarantee your application is considered for your degree of choice by applying before 30 June.

Do I Need to Contact Abertay Before Making an Application?

Yes, by all means contact us to double check. And if we have spaces left on any of our undergraduate degree courses, you can apply.

If you have any other questions, you’re more than welcome to give our Student Recruitment Office a call on +44 (0)1382 308080 or drop them an email on sro@abertay.ac.uk.

Ryan Goward

Ryan applied late to Abertay from college, despite university never previously being on his radar–now he has no doubt that applying for an undergraduate degree was the right decision.

Two weeks before I was about to move to the US to start a new life, I decided to cancel it and come to Abertay.
