Ross is a Teaching Fellow for the Division of Cyber Security at Abertay University, he is currently in progress of completing a PhD in the area of IoT security and holds an MSc in Ethical Hacking and Cyber Security, a BSc in Computing & Networks and a HND in Information technology and systems support.
Current areas of research interests include design and development of Internet of Things (IoT) systems and networks and the security of these. The exploitation of these and traditional systems and networks is another particular area of research interest especially in the areas of Advanced Persistent Threats (APT), novel or Zero day attacks. Research carried out previously has concentrated on Intrusion detection technologies and improving performance and detection accuracy of these.
