Biography

I am a Lecturer in Creative Computing as well as an art practitioner and researcher. My practices and research interests lie in sound/digital art, creative experiment using interactive game technology, playful engagement, and embodied digital expression in the metaverse. I am not an expert in the subject of accessibility and inclusivity, but these are the values I keep trying to increase by exploring alternative ways of communication in digital space.

My postdoctoral research was with InGAME (Abertay-led AHRC funded project). I participated in several industry projects including the Whale Song Park project with Konglomerate Games, and the text-to-speech tool for dyslexic players Dislectek with Lowtek Games. Also, I developed some VR games to experiment with hand gestures and embodied musicality through anonymous and non-verbal play.

I invite a series of very intriguing and active practitioners for this module from every field such as games, arts, music, medical studies etc. Please do contact me if you have exciting ideas to deliver related to this subject.

I co-teach GRS501 - Research Methodology.

I taught DES508 - Game Development Promoting and Marketing for the 2022 summer term.
