Abertay University has long supported International Women in Engineering Day, and to celebrate this year’s edition we have launched a new competition to celebrate the success of women in the field!

Our two-minute video challenge is looking for entries that showcase a woman who has been an engineering trailblazer, or a structure that has been designed by a female engineer to benefit the community where it’s located.

Entries should also explain how her work could shape future developments.

The best videos will be engaging and informative, so entrants should think about a relevant location, using pictures or graphics and think through a plan for their content in advance.

A panel of experts will judge videos with the winner receiving a £50 Amazon voucher.

The winning video will also be featured in an online event on the 23rd of June on International Women in Engineering Day 2022.

The competition is open to Engineering and Environment students and graduates, as well as high school students.

Entries should be shared with communications@abertay.ac.uk via a shared drive such as One Drive, Google Drive or Dropbox and marked INWED2022. Entries must be received by 5pm on Monday 21st of June.
