Student Leavers Guide
Summer 2023

With your time at Abertay coming to an end, we'd like to make you aware of a few things to help make your transition from 'student' to 'alumni' as smooth as possible...

Keeping in touch

If you're eligible and have registered for graduation, you'll have already let us know if you're happy to hear from us in the future. For all other University leavers, please let us know if you'd like for us to stay in touch.

Accessing the important stuff after you leave

Via GradIntel, you can access your

  • Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR)
  • Digital degree Certificate

Both should be fully up-to-date and accessible after 21st July. If you're looking to secure work or further education and need to evidence these documents, you can send your prospective employer / education institution a secure link to view these electronically.

If you’re eligible for a Degree Certificate, you’ll receive this at the Graduation Ceremony on Wednesday 21 July. If you’re not attending in person, a paper version will be posted out to your home address by mid August.

Problems logging in? Be sure to contact GradIntel directly.

Your student email address

Your Abertay student email address is due to expire on 30 November 2023.

Make sure you have an alternative email address set up and re-direct anything that you'd like to continue receiving. It may be worth forwarding any references you've received or even your dissertation to your personal email account, just so that you can have access to these for as long as you need after leaving.
