When searching for rental properties, it is important to confirm adverts are legitimate before making any payments:
We recommend you arrange accommodation through a reputable landlord or letting agency.
Ensure you can view the property and read the contract very carefully before you sign it.
If you choose to rent a private flat or house, we recommend you view the property in person before agreeing to a tenancy contract.
Please be aware, based on staff experience, it can be more difficult to secure rental accommodation in late August and September.
RoomGo - find rooms to rent or flatmates to rent out spare rooms.
Letting Web - find rental properties by area.

Quite often private accommodation may be limited in central Dundee. So we encourage you to widen your search and consider private accommodation outside the city centre.
Dundee boasts regular bus services connecting all areas to the city centre, with many routes passing near to the University campus. Areas further afield, such as Angus, Perth, and Fife, are all conveniently accessible by bus and/or train.
Detailed maps and timetables can be found on Stagecoach and Xplore Dundee (the local bus services), and Scotrail, Scotland's rail network.
