Synopsis
My project is an autobiographical story about a man named Scott (me), who is having a bad experience trying to find a good idea for his honours project. Time is running out, and Scott desperately needs help and is no longer inspired by his music. He then tasks the player to go with him and explore his mind to help inspire him. The player embarks with Scott on a short journey of prototypes, reflection and memories to try to find the final idea.
What motivated you to develop/create this project?
I have a strong love for unusual stories and an obsession with music. I am emotionally quite closed off as a person too, so being able to incorporate the things I love into a game that displays my personality and strange ways of thinking, into a short, emotional and funny journey felt like a finale to my 4 years at university and learning game design.
What has been a highlight of your time at Abertay?
Taking part in Dare Academy 2024 is definitely up there. It was exhausting and sore on the back, but It was something you can literally only do once in a lifetime.
What are your hopes and future ambitions for after graduation?
My hope is that I can either continue into post graduate learning or find a role in audio design somewhere nearby, that can babysit me until I retire.
