Synopsis
The APG Framework lets unity game developers connect their game to a Discord bot. This enables interaction between these two services in a two-way street, and lets Discord users interact with a streamer's game or just remotely play a game.
What motivated you to develop/create this project?
I had this idea for almost 4 to 5 years in my head, and I took the opportunity of my honors project to finally do it. The idea came through when the "game" bot first started appearing on discord servers, where you could catch Pokemon or play tic tac toe. From there I thought: What about having an actual game where the controller is Discord? From there it evolved into a framework. With this, I'm also able to give back something to the community and see what wacky and creative things will come from this!
What has been a highlight of your time at Abertay?
Definitely when I was president of AGDS in 3rd year.
What are your hopes and future ambitions for after graduation?
This is easy - get hired by Sega (Hardligth) and work in a Sonic game at least once!
