Weapon art for AAA games

Synopsis

My project consists of a 3D weapon model based on a real firearm based on topology and optimisation techniques utilised by current studios. To prove my asset will be suitable for games such as Call of Duty or Counterstrike, I will be putting said asset into a game engine with effects and animations to show what the finished product will look like once in a real-time rendering engine, along with beauty renders.

What motivated you to develop/create this project?

I’ve been attracted to the art of weapons from a young age due to my involvement in shooting activities like airsoft and paintball.

What has been a highlight of your time at Abertay?

Having the ability to communicate with other students and staff members for feedback and praise.

What are your hopes and future ambitions for after graduation?

Work at a games studio making assets.
