A TV show Eldritch horror pitch, think Stranger Things meets Hot Fuzz. Following a teenager named Christopher Allan moving to a new small picturesque American town, where he soon discovers his peers are in a cult that sacrifices people to an Eldritch god that lives underneath the town. The show will focus on themes of individuality, conformity and nihilism whilst Chris tries to navigate his new life and discovers how far he and his friends will go to "fit in".
Growing up, I lived in a pretty xenophobic, anti-English area where I was bullied and insulted during different portions of my life because I am half-English. I never really felt like I fit in because of this and tried really hard to fit in and to be liked by my peers. I feel like I was put under a lot of pressure to be like everybody else and I've had to work a lot to find who I am; to this day I am still trying to feel confident about myself. People are under so much pressure not to stand out and to conform to societal expectations or otherwise they will be outcasted and judged, and it's something people don't really talk about. I wanted to create a pilot for a show that would acknowledge these things and show that it's okay to be true to who you are.
To be able to develop this project further and have it made into a real TV show.
