Designing a Single Player Auto Chess Game

Researching aspects of games systems design and games balancing, I aimed to create a balanced experience of a single player auto chess game, with the goal of allowing the player to carry out multiple different strategies. Developed in Unity, the prototype includes AI controlled units that carry out actions on an isometric board, such as pathfinding and combat. Also featured are the main staples of the genre, such as a round-based system where the player can buy and upgrade units, as well as single player elements meant to translate the complexities of engaging with other players in the typically multiplayer genre.
