Hell Priest is a hyper-realistic 3D character bust inspired by cinematic animations from companies such as Blur and Axis Studios. Throughout this project, I was mentored by Ekaterina Pushkarova, a Lead Character Artist at Axis Studios. The aim of my project was to develop both my artistic and technical skills, resulting in the creation of captivating 3D characters. I explored and grew the artistic storytelling of this dark fantasy priest through techniques such as concept art, iteration, colour, texture, shape language and composition. On top of this, I learned industry pipeline practices and methods. This included face scan projections, which help to achieve hyper-detailed results and overall, give a more convincing 3D character.
