Career support for three years after graduation

As an Abertay graduate, you can continue to use our Careers Service and resources for up to three years after you finish your studies.

So if you’re needing some support to find a job, or you’re thinking of changing career path, we’re here for you.

  • Book an appointment to talk with one of our Careers Advisors.

  • Explore and register your interest in attending university run career-focused workshops and events.

  • Browse an extensive list of jobs available right now.

  • Access our online career resources.

  • Go job hunting and get advice.

  • Find guidance on making applications and writing CVs.

  • Read about postgraduate study options including further study funding.

Access your Careers Toolkit to...

  • Continue developing your employability in the months and years after graduation. 

If you’d like to keep using the Abertay Career Toolkit, you’ll need to change your account type from ‘student’ to ‘alumni’. 

    • Open your Careers Toolkit Dashboard (access via the careers tile in My Abertay).

    • Click ‘My Profile’ in the top right-hand corner.

    • Click ‘Graduate Access’ in the left-hand drop-down menu.

    • Enter your personal email address and click ‘save’.

Your Higher Education Achievement Report

When you graduate, you'll get your Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR)

Your HEAR is an extended academic transcript. It contains detailed information about your learning and achievements.

All graduates are issued with an electronic HEAR

Along with your degree certificate, your HEAR supports applications for employment and further study.

The Abertay Career Mentoring Scheme supports and inspires students to develop their employability.

Students are matched with professionals in industry who, through a mentoring relationship, share their knowledge and experience.
