The University of Abertay Dundee is committed to establishing strong, beneficial links with partners in the business community, both in Scotland and beyond, in order to promote innovation, knowledge transfer and economic development.

Several mechanisms exist to encourage and facilitate these links:

Business support
The University aims to help create at least 30 new UK businesses by supporting and encouraging them in the creation of their own intellectual property.

Contract research
The University’s Schools and Specialist Research Centres carry out research projects in collaboration with industrial sponsors.

Knowledge generation and transfer
The University actively seeks to develop and exploit knowledge generated from its research base in partnership with industry.

Services to business
The University is an established provider of services to industry developed around the expertise of its staff and its excellent facilities.
