If you are thinking about applying to study at Abertay University, the best way to get a feel for student life is to visit us. We offer a number of events throughout the year where you to come along and find out for yourself what Abertay has to offer. You will find details below of our Applicant Days and annual Open Day, details will be updated throughout the year.
Applicant Days (March-April 2016)
Our Applicant Days provide detailed course information to UCAS applicants holding an offer for Abertay. Invitations to applicants are sent out from February onwards. If you missed our Open Day and are thinking about applying, why not contact us about the possibility of attending an Information Day?
Undergraduate Open Day (September 2016)
Our Open Day is the best way to see what we have on offer, if you're thinking about applying to study an undergraduate course at Abertay. It follows a drop-in format so you can choose whether to find out about courses, see our facilities or talk to support staff. Throughout the day current students will also be available to answer any questions you might have about life at Abertay.
Our guided campus tours take place on Tuesdays at 11:00am. Tours are conducted by students currently studying at the University who will give you an insight into being an Abertay University student.
Tours last approximately forty five minutes and include all the main facilities on campus including the Student Centre and Bernard King Library. The tour will require you to walk round the campus so comfortable footwear is advised. If you, or anyone who will be accompanying you, has a disability or any other special needs please advise us when booking your place. This will allow us to make all the necessary arrangements to ensure your visit is as easy as possible.
Please note that tours do not include visits to individual departments or halls of residence.
If you wish to visit a particular department, or speak to a member of academic staff, we will endeavour to arrange this for you, but please note this cannot always be guaranteed outwith our main Open or Applicant days.
Booking your tour
Our campus tours are primarily for prospective students and therefore we advise that you only bring one or two guests with you; this will enable us to maximise the number of places available. Places are limited and it is advisable to book at least two weeks’ in advance.
Due to high demand for places on our tours, we cannot guarantee that places will be available for the date you wish to attend. Therefore, please make sure you provide an alternative date when making your booking.
Campus tour cancellation policy
If we need to cancel or change your campus tour, whenever possible we will try to contact you in advance to let you know. Please supply us with a contact telephone number when booking your tour so that this is possible. Please note that on rare occasions, due to circumstances that are beyond our control, we may have to cancel tours without prior notice to visitors. On such occasions the Student Recruitment team takes no responsibility for any inconvenience caused or costs incurred to visitors. In the event that you are no longer available to attend a campus tour, please let us know as soon as possible so that your place(s) can be made available for other visitors.
Our Online Map will help you to find us. Please note that, if you are bringing a car, parking at the University is restricted to permit holders. Public parking is available in the Bell Street multi-storey located next to the University.
