Paint it Loud and Clear!

Come join us to make some Positive Picket Signs! In this workshop you are invited to make bright and colourful signs where you can shout about your hopes and dreams for the city, yourself, your friends and family. What would you like to see in the city in 5 years time? What would you like to be when you grow up? Tell us, and the world, through these big bold signs and Paint it Loud and Clear!

This workshop forms part of the multi-media project 'Generation ZX(X)' led by Abertay Phd student, Mona Bozdog. Through this workshop and a series of fun digital games and fascinating audio stories, families and young people will learn about the inspiring women who built the first home computers in Dundee and begin conversations about the city’s future, and our place in shaping it.

Spinnacle

Come play ‘Spinnacle’, a digital Rubik’s Cube style game made by a team of Abertay students in collaboration with V&A Dundee, where the player is challenged to reconstruct Scottish Design objects in as few moves as possible.

Designs digitally rendered for the game include the Falkirk Wheel, the Jaguar F-Type, Glasgow designer Christopher Dresser’s Teapot, the Orkney Chair and the V&A Dundee building itself.

The game is part of the museum’s Time Capsule project and will be preserved for future generations to see and learn about.
