Weave by Abertay is very excited to partner with NEoN Digital Arts Festival to welcome Michael Frederickson, Lead Technical Director at Pixar Animation Studios, to deliver a live-streamed talk following the Atmosphere screening of Coco.

Michael, who worked on films including Toy Story 3, Inside Out and Coco, will discuss the power of creating a sense of awe in animation. What happens when our minds are blown by a movie? How can this feeling of awe impact our evolution as humans and instil empathetic values?

Through this talk we will explore the power of story-telling, the narrative arc, emotional journeys and the human experience.
