Bright Ideas Online

Bright Ideas. Creative learning. We'll help you shine. Powered by Abertay University.

Hi everyone and welcome to Bright Ideas Online! We hope you are all staying safe and well and are adjusting to doing school work at home.

The students and staff at Abertay are working from home too, it’s been a learning process for everyone. The Abertay campus has been shut for weeks, however, our security cameras recently caught sight of someone trying to get in...

We were so disappointed that you weren’t able to finish Bright Ideas on campus so we thought we would bring it to your homes instead! With help from our wonderful Student Mentors we've put together Bright Ideas Online so you can discover more about the different subjects you were studying during your time at Abertay.

The web page is made for you to go through at your own pace, so take some time to focus on one section or just dip in and out. Try out some activities in the subject pages and get inspiration from the amazing work the Student Mentors have been creating in Mentor Project Profiles. Then have a look at our fantastic final year student work in the Abertay Digital Graduate Show and find out some tips for planning ahead in the My Future section.

To start, watch the video to the right that contains messages to you from some of your mentors! See if you can spot yourself too!

Bright Ideas Online is a web resource designed for S3 pupils from schools in Dundee and Angus who took part in Abertay’s Creative Learning programme Bright Ideas. This page has been created for the pupils involved but we invite others to explore the page and the resources on offer.

Explore all of our subject choices offered at Bright Ideas, try new activities and find out more about studying at Abertay. Choose the subjects you studied in your team or learn about new ones!
