Bright Ideas - Now Online!

Weave, in partnership with Widening Access, have put together an online learning resource for Bright Ideas!

Bright Ideas is Abertay's creative learning programme for S3 pupils in Dundee and Angus, led by Abertay Student Mentors and staff. During this six-week course the pupils choose a fascinating subject to learn about - inspired by the courses taught at Abertay University. They explore their subject through a creative discipline and, in teams, work towards creating a computer game, comic strip or stop motion animation about their subject to display at the Bright Ideas Showcase.

Unfortunately, the pupils this year only got to complete 4 out of 6 weeks of the programme due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

We didn't want it to end there so, with help from our wonderful Student Mentors, we put together Bright Ideas Online!

Bright Ideas Online features further resources and activities for the subjects the pupils were studying, updates from the Student Mentors including video messages and a showcase of their own incredible projects and information about different routes to studying at university.

Although this page has been created for the Bright Ideas pupils we invite others to explore the page and the fantastic resources on offer!
