Welcome to Applicant Day, Abertay Offer Holders!

Congratulations on your offer to study at Abertay University!

We're delighted you're here - and we can't wait to show you what Abertay has to offer.

Getting here

By car: We're situated in Dundee city centre. You can check driving directions on Google Maps. Our postcode is DD1 1HG.

Bus and train: Our campus is in Dundee city centre. It's only a 10-minute walk from the bus station or a 10-minute walk from the train station.

Parking: We don't have any private parking spaces, but there are a number of public car parks nearby. The nearest is West Bell Street (DD1 1EX).

Checking in

First thing to do is check-in. Make your way through our famous revolving doors to the foyer of the Kydd Building, which is located on Bell Street, where we'll be waiting to welcome you.

When to arrive

The day starts at 2pm but please aim to arrive around 15-20 minutes early so we can check you in and direct you to where you need to be first.

What's involved in an Applicant Day?

An Applicant Day is your chance to get more information or answers to any questions you might have about the course(s) you want to study.

If you've applied for more than one course and aren't sure which would be best for you, speaking to lecturers and students will help you decide.

It's also your chance to have a good look around the campus and find out whether Abertay's vibe is right for you.

Welcome Lounge

Go here first to pick up your welcome pack and notebook (scan the QR code on the back for easy access to your schedule).
Drop in to talk and to have your questions answered by our friendly staff, including our Admissions Team.
Grab a complimentary water.

Our staff here will be happy to direct you to see the facilities at the Abertay Gym where you can also find out more about our Sports Clubs.

Campus Tours

🕑 2pm to 5pm

📍 Leaving from Kydd Building foyer

Take a tour and have a good look around our compact city centre campus.

Tours leave every 30 minutes from the Kydd Building foyer.
No need to book - just turn up.
First tour leaves at 2pm, last tour leaves at 4.30pm.
Tours last approximately 20-30 minutes.

Accommodation Tours

Tours leave every 30 minutes from the Library
First tour leaves at 2pm, last tour leaves at 4.30pm.
Tours last 30 minutes.

Please note: You must pre-book an accommodation tour on the day. Tours are offered subject to availability, on a first come, first served basis. Tour groups will be limited to a maximum of 15 people. Priority will be given to those from outwith Dundee. In the event of high demand, places will be limited to the applicant plus one family member.

Library Tours

The hub of student life.

Tours leave every 20 minutes from the Library foyer.
No need to book - just turn up.
First tour leaves at 2pm, last tour leaves at 4.30pm.
Tours last 30 minutes.
Please note: tour groups will be limited to a maximum of 12 people.

Abertay Students' Association

Abertay Students' Association represents the student voice to the University. As soon as you're enrolled as a student at Abertay, you become a member of the SA, too! Come meet members of the SA and learn all about student life, our amazing student-led clubs and societies, our elected officers, and how you can be part of creating change at Abertay.
