USA

Fall Entry 2018

Abertay welcomes students from the United States of America.

One of Abertay’s main strengths is in its size, the sense of community and ‘open spaces’ approach to learning and teaching results in cross disciplinary research groups. This spawns many interesting collaborative research projects, putting together, for example, psychology and computer games technology.

We are right at the heart of Dundee (the fourth largest city in Scotland), combining all the advantages of a close knit campus with the buzz of city centre life. All our buildings are within a quarter of a mile of each other, along with a great selection of shops, bars, clubs, cinemas and theatres. We’re also just a few minutes walk from the bus and train stations.

Over a quarter of our students are from overseas, with over 60 nationalities represented.

As a student from the US, your tuition fees at Abertay could be a third less than if you choose to study a four-year programme at a college out of state. This saving rises to around 50% if you choose Abertay over a private college.

Find out more about living in Dundee and our campus.

Abertay representatives will be visiting a number of US cities throughout November 2017. A list of dates and cities can be found in the Meet us in the US section.

Courses

We offer a wide range of courses, including Computer Arts, Forensic Sciences and Strength and Conditioning (to name but a few). Abertay University has been ranked best modern university in Scotland for its environmental science, law and psychology research. Also, we were the first in Scotland to launch degrees in computer arts, bioinformatics and biotechnology.
