SET Poster Day 2016
Final year Biomedical Science and Food students presented the results of their Honours project in the form of a poster event on 6 May 2016.
The posters covered a wide range of topics including attitudes to synthetic biology, the occurence of antibiotic resistant bacteria in food, and bacteria contamination in reusable shopping bags.
Posters are a mainstream means of scientific communication and are a feature of any academic conference, so are an important part of the science degrees here at Abertay.
Assessment was based on clarity of presentation, along with the ability of the students to talk about their research. The marks the students achieve will go towards the final grade of their degree.
Family and friends joined the students to get an insight into their research and celebrate the end of their final year.
