College Leavers

Did you know that more than a third of Abertay students come to us via college?

Our agreements with colleges mean you can start many Abertay degrees at Year 2 with a relevant HNC or Year 3 with a relevant HND.

To find out where your Access, HNC or HND course could take you at Abertay, take a look at our entry routes.

Supporting you

We want you to make the most of your time at Abertay. Everyone needs a helping hand at some time, so we have a range of support to help you to make the transition from college.

If you need help with anything, be it personal, financial, academic, or anything in between, our specialist support staff are there for you.

Our Student Academic Support (SAS) team is located in Student Services, and can help with all aspects of studying, from getting your referencing right to managing your time more effectively.

Our Abertay College Transition (ACT) Programme has been designed with student input to help you anticipate the differences between HN and degree study, understand the academic culture at Abertay, find out about the opportunities and activities on offer, and meet some of the people who can support and advise you during your studies.

Students approach us with a wealth of skills, experience and qualifications so we've also compiled details of alternative entry routes.
