Allocation Policy

When allocating accommodation the University gives priority to new students/first entrants and to overseas students who are new to Dundee (and studying for 1 full academic year). The University's accommodation is self-catering and the majority of first year undergraduates will be housed in blocks of university flats.

You may state your accommodation preference, but while we will make every effort to match your preference, limited availability means this cannot be guaranteed. It is essential that any special needs and/or requirements are entered on the application form.

Applications will only be considered from students who are prepared to accept the terms of the Student Residences Agreement for their full period of study in the relevant academic year. This is a legally binding agreement and students should not accept the terms without fully understanding their meaning.
