Before joining Abertay as a lecturer, I spent 15 years as a computer games developer in the commercial sector.

From a research perspective, I’m interested in the use of emerging technologies within computer games and the impact these have on the experiences we can create. I’m currently undertaking a PhD exploring how physics-based animation techniques can be used to create deformable characters and new, interactive experiences.

I have guest-lectured to future game developers in Beijing as part of a programme in association with Perfect World - one of the world’s largest games companies.

I am also a member of the Academic Advisory Board for PlayStation First, the Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) academic development programme.

My teaching is focused on games programming and computer games development.
