Dell need little introduction; they are an American multinational computer technology company who are joining us in their Dare Academy journey for the first
Their story began with two technology companies and one shared vision: to provide greater access to technology for people around the world. Dell Technologies is instrumental in changing the digital landscape the world over, fueled by the desire to drive human progress through technology.
Dell is a long term player (pardon the pun!) in the gaming sector with our Dell Gaming and Alienware brands, they strive to provide the best possible technologies for gamers of all kinds. Might it be a casual Saturday afternoon gamer or an eSport professional - we strive to ensure that our technology provides the right experience every moment.
We go beyond just playing games and we work with many developers on providing the technology to build the games of today and of the future, always on the search on how to bring the next generation of games to life.
We strongly believe in the value of education - especially in STEM fields and Game Development is the biggest entertainment business in the world, seamlessly incorporating technical fields like programming and computer science with art , writing and other social fields. We love to see the new generation of young people reach for this goals and want to help them realise their dreams and it’s for these reasons we are excited to collaborate with Abertay University and the Dare academy. Making this a unique segment that unites many and offers diverse opportunities to grow.
Growing up in East Europe I was lucky that I had access to PCs early in my age, so my passion for PC gaming started when I was just 4 years old and really cemented in me when I encountered the Civilization 1 game on the PC in my mom’s work! Since then, the passion for Gaming and PCs never left me, and after all the years I am glad I work in a role where I can contribute help gamers get the best experience out of their games.
We’re very excited to be working with Dare Academy for the first time and very much looking forward to seeing where we can help the finalists and of course, see what games are made.
