We’re delighted to announce the 3 judges who will have the difficult (yet enjoyable!) challenge of selecting Dare Academy 2021’s finalists.
On 3 June, the 11 shortlisted teams will require to pitch their game to the panel in an attempt to secure their position in hot-housing, which starts in July.
Keely is an awesomely talented executive producer at Outplay and has worked across mobile, console and beyond. Keeley is currently ripping it up leading and supporting on two super fun free-to-play match mobile games Gordon Ramsay: Chef Blast and Crafty Candy Blast. She is no stranger to the Dare Academy competition, having judged and mentored in the past.
James is a programmer/designer/zine maker extraordinaire and one third of Bit Loom who recently released Phogs! James is also Dare Alumni, having competed (and won) a few years ago with a very early version of Phogs!, demonstrating just how valuable the experience of Dare Academy can be!
Dr Lynn Love is a lecturer in Computer Arts and designer based at Abertay University, where she teaches game design and technical art. Lynn has a passion for bringing people together through play whether digital, physical or somewhere in-between. As part of Abertay Game Lab she has created a number of multiplayer video game experiences that focus on social play including one which involves wearing a poncho for three people and another which is played in a tent. She almost always has chalk in her pocket, just in case, and is a little obsessed with projectors.
