Dr Ailsa Hall is the director of SMRU. She has been working on the impacts of pollutants on health and survival of marine mammals for 25 years. More recently she has worked on factors that influence energy balance in marine mammals. She is involved in the UK delegation to the International Whaling Commision and is a member of the team that responds to unusual mortality events of marine mammals in the US and Europe.
