PHATS goes large !
Holly joins the PHATS team
Holly Armstrong is doing a PhD to understand stress at the cell level in seals. She's joined us for three months to work on the seal fat explants that we collected on the Isle of May over the winter. She will apply the molecular tools she has developed to measure cellular stress in seal fat caused by pollutants and by the stress hormone cortisol. Her work will help us find out if pollutants prevent the the seal cells from being able to respond appropriately to stress.Back to News
