PHATS goes large !
Isle of May SNH seal weekend 2016
We had spectacular weather for the Isle of May Seal weekend and good turn out of visitors to see the seals. Early October is a little too soon in the season to see a large number of animals, but the wardens had set up a spotting scope to watch the mums with pups from a distance. We went along to the visitor centre to chat about our research looking at how pollutants affect energy balance in grey seals and took along a seal skeleton for folk to get up close and personal with those big eyes and teeth. We had a great time and hope all our visitors did, too. Hope to see you again next year!
