Research and Knowledge Exchange and Student Experience: Interconnectedness in a multidisciplinary age
Academic Enterprise can be defined as ‘Being open to new new projects’.
Academic Enterprise is an overarching way of thinking about the business of the University. Working in conjunction with the Abertay Research Theme Leader group our goal is to drive external liaison with industry and networks.
In the context of the interconnected teamwork that characterises the shared interests and activities goals and mission Abertay’s work can be seen as a blend of research, teaching and enterprise led knowledge exchange.
As university staff and students we seek to user our knowledge to have a positive impact on the world around us.
What we do
In particular we seek to inspire and enable staff, students and alumni to fulfil their potential by:
Being rooted in our community and maintaining close links with key partners in Dundee and beyond.
Aligning our teaching, research, innovation and knowledge exchange activity to local and national priorities.
Encouraging our staff to use their knowledge and expertise to solve real-world problems.
Providing a broad, flexible, responsive and relevant curriculum to prepare students with the knowledge and skills to be successful in the world beyond Abertay.
Collaborations and Partnerships:
We actively seek out partnerships and collaborations, and welcome approaches and inquiries from industry, the public sector and the third sector. In particular we emphasis that collaborations can be tailored to suit your needs by involving either teaching, research or consultancy depending on your the scope of your interests.
