What does your current job involve?

I am a self-employed Personal Trainer. I have been running my own business, Louise's PT 4 U, for just over seven years now. I am fortunate to work with some fantastic clients. My day to day work involves motivational interviewing, goal-setting, postural assessments, planning and running campaigns to promote existing services, as well as new programmes.

Even as a business owner and a mature student, I learned so much about myself, my strengths and weaknesses, and had time for reflection.

How important was your Abertay degree in helping you to pursue your career?

It consolidated the practical training I have, which has helped me to be a better trainer for my clients.

What was you most memorable moment as a student?

My most memorable moments were actually during the extra courses and activities on offer. I thoroughly enjoyed completing The Principals Award as well as taking part in the Abertay Mentoring Programme. Even as a business owner and a mature student, I learned so much about myself, my strengths and weaknesses, and had time for reflection.
